I said it at half time. And they still created more chances than we should let them. That defensive performance was not good at all. Granted we could have finished them off, but way too many chances we have given them. And most of them just poor finishes.
Well due to work commitments I got to watch the 2nd half on the TV. If I would have paid 25quid to watch that , I would want a refund . That wasn't good watching at all, maybe I missed all the action in the 1st 45 mins.
Disappointed with the result but some promising signs. Kane looked decent and Thomas/Kitching were both brilliant. Just a little concerned with our defending at times
All comes down to the striking issue for me. The defence still look nervous because they are always under the pressure of knowing we don’t score enough to win if we concede. That tit in black didn’t help like

Dominating maybe, but we lack that cutting edge Most balls that are launched over the top come back . Their goal was always coming. Replacing Cole was ridiculous .
Yes the ref was absolutely abysmal, but substitutions have cost us tonight for me. All really poor, one of which had been booked before he even came on.
We need a striker! Starting the season without one has been a mistake Port Vale were **** if we’re honest (until they made their subs) and we should have had the game wrapped up at half time, we missed benson tonight, Kane did ok, Thomas gets in brilliant positions but can’t shoot. Defending for their goal was poor.
Wolfe has looked really lightweight and lackadaisical in his cameos this season. Poor defending though, especially allowing them to cross. Thankfully Collins saved us at the end. Their keeper, (and the ref...), did very well for them.
Everyone moaning about strikers. As Keith Hill said. Clean sheets are king. And our defenders are bad.
I don't know what his qualities are meant to be. He certainly can't tackle or play as a holding midfielder.

Really?? Plymouth, Ipswich, Wednesday? Not good to see so many so called fans switching opinion week on week depending on the result. Especially when most of em are sat at home not at games
