He was booked for warming up and getting in the way of a player trying to take a quick throw in - the ref told him to move - he did so the ref then booked him - it was bizarre

He managed to get himself booked while warming up on the touch line. He kind of stood in front of their player who was trying to take a throw. Bit harsh to be honest but quite impressive getting a yellow before you’ve started playing.

He was booked for standing infront of the gap in the advertising boards where the Vale player was attempting to run thru to get a ridiculously long run up on attempting a long throw in. At first I thought the ref was booking the Vale player, which would have been daft enough, but then it turned out to be Norwood, it was farcical. Embarrassment of a ref.

Booked Norwood for warming up even tho the throw was being taken five yards further up from where ball went out .
Think it’s Refs first league game in charge and if it is it should be his last , he brings the game into disrepute imo .

    The referee was extremely poor.

The referee just didn't understand the rules of the game basically.

My memory is as vague as yours I'm afraid. I remember it happening but not the details.

Surely not? First season would be at the bottom proving yourself in non league and working your way up surely?

No fans in that part of the west stand but I don't see how it's OK to take a run up from inside an opposition fans stand, but you can get booked for warming up when subs don't even have a technical area like they have at the subs benches.

Didn't a player in the premier league do it. Got sent off warming up as a sub as he stopped the ball crossing the line for a corner.....

Don't remember that incident and in the era of a full subs bench I'm not sure what impact it has on the team, other than the manager obviously can't use the sub who has been sent off. When Banks was sent off there was only one sub, so that was that, we couldn't make a substitution.

    https://www.worldfootball.net/referee_summary/tom-parsons/

He's spent most of his career in national League and u23s etc.

This was his first game at league one level tonight, but he has had a couple of league 2 games this season.

I can't find a site that makes it clear enough as the above and it might not have his last couple of game in
