Why? First Yellow was a 50:50. Both should have been carded, or neither. Second, he fell into him and shouldn't really have been a card. The Ref folded due to player pressure, which I hate immensely and needs weeding out of the game. The Ref wasn't nearly as bad as midweek, but he still was inconsistent with his cards.
That's the kind of result and performance that bonds teams together and super charges their confidence. Well done the all at Barnsley FC for another terrific away performance
Collins injury aside and the red card, that has to go down as a very pleasing result and performance. Chuffed
U saw the first one very different to me then. Yes they both went in together, but Kitching went looking for trouble and created the off the ball stuff dragging their player around by his legs, just no need.
He is a liability , getting into scraps for no reason , he could have been booked earlier with G Williams . He was the instigator for our fine at Leeds and he’s been lucky not to be sent off in games at Well . He cant help himself getting involved in spats as I said he was pushing the boundaries in Schopps non management . If he can’t knuckle down for the sake of the team we need to get rid , I’m all for players with passion but no sympathy for Knuckle heads , that could have cost us today , fortunately others saved the day .
Looks full at the far end Some match action on this account Norwood with my favourite of the three goals. He waited to take the only touch of the ball he needed rather than complicating things.
Said it a lot about Kitching, I like him, but he stops so many promising attacks with wayward passes/crosses, even simple short passes. It gets hidden away because it will work a couple of times a game, or he will randomly have a blinder (i.e Wednesday!), but ultimately even with only 30/35 minutes playing without him, you can see a difference going forward. I actually think he's quite a good tackler when he hasn't got the monk on and controls his temper, but just so wasteful going forward. Hopefully Duff will slowly change him because his lung-busting runs really can have an impact in games. Fantastic result, fantastic resolve and fantastic Mr. Duff - he made all the correct decisions after the sending off, subs, positions, formations. Brilliant!
I agree with this and would say his assets outweigh his liabilities. We’re not Real Madrid - I think he’ll do for us. I’d rather have is passion than McCarthys or Moon.
I agree, albeit I'm not writing McCarthy off just yet, Andersen was very poor when he came in and he's been great for us. So definitely need patience with him - Moon has had plenty of opportunity though and I just don't think he's cut out for it, of course he's still young though
Collins going off seemed to affect them more than us, they didn’t do much really after that. Some late tackles (Kane and Thomas after our first) and pushing players over as we broke forwards was cynical. Great team performance but the park and (non-existent) ride was rubbish.
Don't get this we've been mostly *****. A team that is gelling week on week. New players playing alongside some who barely featured last season. Been some very good performances. That can only get better in my view. Leeds Bristol rovers Ipswich Wendy Cambridge Apart from being totally outfought by Wycombe. The other 2 defeats deserved better outcomes. Plymouth and Derby. Imo that is.
Just watched the highlights having been out all day. Great result. Kitching always looks a contender to be sent off, but I thought his second booking today was extremely harsh. Didn't seem to adversely affect us like, we appeared to get better.
