Heard we have signed him on a free transfer not sure how true it is due to Injurys to Walton and Collins

He'd be a good stop-gap for sure. Tall, muscular keeper, who, I think played for Shrewsbury Town on loan against us in the promotion season. We lost there 3-1 and Coleman played a very solid game.

That's the only way we could sign him unless they still allow emergency loans for keepers

I'm not sure whether the rules have changed this season, however I found an article about emergency loans from last season. It says you can sign one if 'all professional goalkeepers are unavailable for selection'. A professional goalkeeper is defined as one who has made more than 5 EFL or Premier League appearances. So if the rules are the same, and both Walton and Collins are unavailable, we'd be able to bring in a keeper on emergency loan, as Searle isn't classed as a 'professional' keeper.

According to Wikipaedia he's a free agent - so, if true, no obstacles to signing him: just hope Collins' and Walton's injuries not severe....

Think you would be allowed to bring in cover anyway with 2 keepers injured

Didn't we bring an emergency keeper in a few years ago that played away at Accrington? Can't remember his name.
