    There's been talk of Jalo or Dyer being introduced into the first team for league games. But what I've seen of Butterfill, I think I'd like to see him given more of a go.

    Can't argue with Larkeche being named man of the match either. More depth once he's fully fit.

    Going to have to tell Guide Dogs that we need to keep Toby (Tyke), he's clearly a good luck charm! 0-3 with ten men and 2-0 tonight since he arrived on Friday. He's only here for two weeks though!

    I enjoyed that. Some good young (and slightly older) talent on display there. Lots of commitment too; plus a win and another clean sheet.

    Martin was our most accomplished L1-ready player on show but there were several mature performances from some young players, particularly Nejman for me.

    That free kick was tremendous. Actually world class - no keeper in the world would have saved that. Literally perfect strike.

    Good performance from the lads, Jalo needs to work on his runs & time it better to stop being offside so often, but at 16 that's not a criticism at all! First half just felt a little meh, some decent stuff but bit stiff, second half I thought we dominated, and fully deserved the 2 goals. Glad Butterfill scored, I think we have 4 young forwards who have a bright future; Marsh, Jalo, Butterfill & Dyer.

    Well I thought that was a great display from the whole team. Good all over the pitch and thoroughly professional. Larkeche - just wow!! Best free kick I’ve seen from a Barnsley man in a long time. He had very little to aim at with the keeper’s position but it flew into the top corner.

    Some people will continue to complain about this and that but we’ve got some real talent at the club now.

    Good question because it shows how we matched up against a prem league sides equivalent age group.

    There's all sorts of permutations though, with it being 2 points for a penalties win and one for a penalties defeat etc.

    That's what I was thinking. Still don't agree with the Prem yputh teams being in the comp.
