Larkeche played well. Ackroyd was alright too. I thought Nejman looked decent when he came on, although I wasn't that impressed with him previously. McCarthy did little wrong. I didn't think Hondermarck played particularly well to be honest.
Very comfortable win, thought every player did well tonight, a contrasting performance from the Lincoln game 2 weeks ago!! The LB was very good, young Jalo is going to be some player too, for a 16 year old he’s eager and seems to be able to know where to be when attacking, obviously missing composure and experience, it’d be nice to progress in this comp just to get more game Time for players like him. Based on what I’ve seen tonight I’d feel comfortable In putting anyone of them on the bench for a first team game, we may just be starting to get that winning vibe about that club again!!
Good result t'neight, C,O,Y,R. i'm going to Cleethorpes Saturday to watch Bridlington, and a trip over Humber Bridge,
I follow the results of brid, more so Scarborough, but love when the seaside towns I used to go as a child are doing well. Scarborough have had quite a fair few ex reds, still do, over the years too. Michael Coulson being the obvious one! Hes the perfect captain for em.
I mean, 'kin 'ell, that is the best free kick I've ever seen at Oakwell. Unbelievable. Just amazing. I really don't want to undermine that because it's a phenomenal piece of skill. But let's boot the Premier League U21s out of this competition. I went to every single game on our journey to lift this trophy. It was fun. And we played some young kids. Some of them, obviously, can take free kicks. And then some. But if the Premier League U21s are playing, nobody is watching. If they're not, there'd be a few thousand of us down there to see it. And I would imagine he would have felt a lot better if a few thousand of us were going mental about such a phenomenal strike. This competition never had a lot of integrity, but it had some. Now it has none. There's an easy way to get some back. And just to reiterate: What an amazing free kick.
To be Honest i dunt go to Scarborough, were regulars Home an Away at Brid games though, football in the lower leagues is pretty good, we sponsor a player each year its 40.00 and we donate a raffle prize, bottle of Spirits, we do our little bit, Bought Both shirts at Barnsley this year, all packed ready for mi Fuertaventura Holiday in November its mi 60th an were going for Month. I'll have a day art to Scarborough, let thi know how i get on.
Sounds bang on does that, bud. Haven't been to Bridlington in years, we used to go camping a lot as a kid to Scarborough, the family still does albeit I haven't been in about 2 years now. Camping in scarborough, my favourite. Lots of nostalgia too. Enjoy your stay away matey
I thought Hondermarck pressed well, and found space with the ball, but every single cross was abysmal. I thought Martin was v impressive.
Hondermarck's end product is definitely my main criticism of him tonight. In fact in the first half, everyone was guilty of poor end product. We had a spell towards the end of the half, where Ackroyd came close, but for the first 40 or so minutes, we looked very toothless. Much improved second half.
