As an international manager. It's now obvious that the success England have had in the last World Cup and Euros were despite Southgate not because of him and with a better coach England would probably have one at least one of them. He's holding the team back now and it wouldn't surprise me if we don't get out of the group stages in the World Cup.

Dour. Negative. Naive. We have some of the best attacking talent on the planet and can’t score goals. England play like we did under Lee Johnson. Ponderous. One dimensional with little speed of thought or movement.

He's certainly got to pull something out of the bag against Germany to raise spirits or the knives will be well and truly out for him.

Yet we still lose. Never understand what goes through managers minds.

He should have gone after the WC semi against Croatia. The loss to Italy was appalling.

The Liverpool and city players must hate joining up . The fast and attacking style they play with their clubs is a world apart from the dour crap Southgate dished up

Why on gods green earth would you play Saka out of position ?
He plays him out of position being ineffective for how long ever he was on when he had an abundance of decent players for whichever position he needs/ decides to play .
    He’s ruining good players .

If in doubt, pass it back to goalie - for 90 blinking minutes. Like watching paint dry.

Ivan Toney not even on a 12 man Subs Bench but he can find room for Fikayo Tomori who I've never heard of but has 3 international caps to his name. But he's a Centre-Back and god knows we need as much back-up for Madman Maguire as possible.

I can’t believe he hasn’t been found out yet… he’s actually the reason we haven’t won a trophy in the last few tournaments…

It was a rather stupid choice especially when he had players like Grealish who would have been much more suited for that role.

I think you not hearing of Tomori isn't really Southgate's fault. Tomori is an excellent player, should have started today, recently won Serie A with Ac Milan with the second best defence in the league, and only conceded 2 goals in the last 11 games when he played. Kilman, Tomori, Guehi, Ben White & even Dan Burn should be starting over Maguire.

Glad people can finally see the Emperor has no clothes. We're the only country that celebrates losers. If it had been Germany, Holland, Italy or Spain that lost to Coatia in 2018. Their manager would be gone. Get someone else in and build towards Qatar in 2022. We have an open top bus parade, Sports Personality of the year and make the Euro's the be all and end all.

He's more than a busted flush. He's a floating diarrhoea turd.

I was a big advocate of Southgate, up until this last year or so. I still really admire him as a bloke. But something has gone awry in the last 12 months and the way that England have played since the Euro final goes against all that I look for in a team. It’s exactly as you’ve outlined perfectly above.

I hope that - as we’ve seen on many prior occasions - England are a different animal at the tournament. If we aren’t, then after Qatar it could be time for a change.

If it is left until after the tournament, that will have been another wasted opportunity.

The euro final was ours for the taking but we weren't brave enough to kill the game off and unfortunately that is how Southgate will be remembered, it's a shame that we will probably have to forfeit this world cup before we change managers.

All teams hit the hard times, look at the squad, look at the players, is it all down to the Manager, we played well, we created chances, we just could'nt find the net, talk about gerrin rid is loodicrus, CUM ON ENGLAAAAAAAAAAND, ride the storm and get stronger as a team, i'm behind Southgate, and the team.

We are abysmal mate. We got massively lucky with who we played to get to final of WC and Euros. He has no tactical knowledge, no backbone. His substitutions are ridiculous. Spain, Portugal, Germany and Italy, who didn't even qualify, are all dodgy at the minute, it'll be best opportunity in years for us to go all the way, just will not happen under Southgate and his football, its dire
