    Lovely to see today. Sat in fan zone. Mum and Dad having a drink with last seasons match worn "Andersen" shirts on. Either sister or other half with the same, either sister or other half sat with them in normal clobber. All 4 of them looked very chuffed to be there. Very sweet to see. Just hope he wasnt mortified by the support - can't imagine my sons reaction if me and his mum and sister turned up to a game overseas with his name slapped on the back of our shirts

    Hopefully there to see him sign a new contract with us. Would love for him to reach a testimonial decade with us or at the very least become our most played foreign player ever. He could end up going down as a big club legend talked about for decades to come if he sticks around.

    That is so sweet. He seems such a lovely guy, I'm sure his family must be too. Bet they're so proud of him.

    I’ve loved him and his smile ever since his first interview when he signed.

    He’s been an absolute rock this season, must be one of the best defenders in the division.

    They were sat in east upper near the family section.

    Mum had big camera, they looked to be having a blast.

    We definitely need to get him signed to another long term contract. He can be the foundation of our defence for years if he's willing to stick around.

    Mads is a diamond.
    Like others on here, he had me on Day 1 when he said hello.
    His positivity is infectious and a better captain we could not get. He's a rock. Strong in the air. Strong in the tackle. Positional awareness vastly improved. Distribution vastly improved.
    Loyalty unquestionable. The lad has stuck with us. A proper club man.
    It's players like him who make me proud to be Barnsley fan.

    Would like him too, but he’s up against players plying their trade at AC Milan, Barcelona, Crystal Palace & Galatarasy, so a tough call, got time on his side though.

    For sure - Kjaer always been a decent player but these past couple of years he's been exceptional. I think if/when he plays in the championship again, or at a different decent league, he will definitely be watched properly. The player he was when he first joined, to the player he is now, it's like chalk and cheese - imagine what he'll be like in a few more years.

    We are delighted to confirm that 21-year-old Mads Andersen (pronounced Mess Annersen) has joined the Reds on a four-year contract, with the option of a further year in the club’s favour, for an undisclosed fee from Danish Superliga side AC Horsens.
