Hi all. My.Mate gave me a heads up that the Cohens pharmacy at Dodworth are opening Saturday and Sunday this weekend just to do Flu jabs for over 65's and vunerable people. ( Diabetic or Disabled etc ). it's free for these people and it's a walk in service so no appointment needed....opening while 5pm both days. Anyone who's unsure on how to get a Flu jab can go along, doesn't matter which doctors you use... hope this helps...
I was at Well Pharmacy next to New Southgate surgery in Wakefield yesterday and they’re open for flu jabs for anyone….. free if age eligible and chargeable if not. Check with them first as it may have been a one-off. I assume you’re meaning non-covid flu jabs
I went for my flu and second booster jab on Saturday morning. My appointment was for 12 mid day.I arrived at 11.50 and came away at 1.30.A complete **** up by the surgery but these things happen.Felt fine Saturday evening but then came down with flu like symptoms .Back on my feet today.
had my flu jab 2 weeks ago, just walked into lloyds pharmacy with free flu voucher from work and took under 10 mins, no age restrictions, i'm 53
Got my flu jab three week's ago in Hudders'... was literally in the place no more than 5 mins! Fair play i thought
My dad had it on Saturday, and his Covid booster - he was expecting it to take ages - in and out in 5 minutes
I just looked up and over 50's can get a free one from October 15th onwards from Boots - I assume its the same for other places that are doing the jabs over 65's can get a free one now of course
My work colleague went to get his covid booster and they offered him the flu shot as well while he was there. Interesting it’s free for over 50s now, I just sneak in these days…
Worth noting that you may qualify for a free flu jab even if you're 49. And also that if you're 50 and have a long-term condition you don't need to wait until October. From the govt website: "Starting from mid-October, people aged 50 years old or over (including those who will be 50 years old by 31 March 2023) can have a free NHS flu vaccine. This is so at-risk groups can be offered vaccination first. If you’re in this age group and have a long-term health condition that puts you at risk from flu, you do not have to wait until mid-October."
I got a text yesterday inviting me for a COVID booster, probably go to the local walk-in pharmacy today. Had the flu jab a couple of weeks ago.
this morning neighbour turned up at Victoria Medical centre for flu jab - pre-booked appointment - surgery full and massive queue outside - she went to Asda Pharmacy - got jab straight away - no waiting!
Been to white rose surgery Cudeth this morning 08-30 both jabs done and out by 08-40 scheduled appointment
