Cant see anything official about injury so I imagine he's just been dropped unless its a very very recent one. Think Hull have 8 players out injured. Not sure how many are first team definites though
He is injured which is a shame for the lad as he started the last game and apparently played very well , hope its not a long term job, wish him well .
Nice to know he performed well last game mate, I know he's been picking up a bit of stick for his performances so far. Don't think it helped Morris going at the same time, probably just means people compare them more than they usually would
I wish the lad well, but as he's no longer our player I'm not following his fortunes that much TBH. His first couple of years at Oakwell were superb. I was more sad about losing Morris TBH, as if he can stay injury free he is a better all round player. Luton seem to do well with our ex's, so who knows. He looked like a busted flush in his latter times with us, but to be fair to him he always put a shift in. He didn't seem to have a clear role under the two clowns we had in charge last season. We needed the money & had to move on. I had wriiten off Devante, but he is looking a better option, if admittedly at L1 level.
More to the point. I think you have some player in Bree. Every game I see him for you lot, he’s always around a solid 8 out of 10. We didn’t get to see the best of him at oakwell as he was only young when he was sold to Villa, although you could see the potential. If he carries on in this kind of form, you’ll be getting big money for him.
Potential is the key word & thats exactly why a premier club forked out for him & he has turned out to be a top player at championship level , I also think getting rid of Jordan Clarke was a big error , he was shown the door at Oakwell unfairly for me because he had bags of potential which we ignored ,but he has turned out a fine midfield player at his current level.
To be fair when we let Jordan Clark go he went to Shrewsbury in League Two, having spent time on loan in the conference not really pulling many trees up. He wasn’t always first choice in league two, certainly wasn’t in league one, and he ended up back in league two with Accrington. It was six years after he left us before he got to championship level with Luton, and it’s now over eight years since he left. There are many examples of letting players leave too quickly - and it would have been lovely for a local lad to have stayed and done well - but I think in Jordan’s case the move worked out best for both him and the club.
I am not sure how it worked out well for the club , allegedly he turned down a move to Man City at academy level to stay at Oakwell but he was never given any real opportunities to progress with us & shown the door but he has certainly turned out to be a decent championship player .
Villa were championship at the time of signing bree and for me he went for the money they were paying him a ridiculous amount but in football terms he stalled his career there hardly making any 1st team appearances glad he has got it back on track with luton.
I'm sorry but that just sounds bitter. Any player would leave oakwell for villa, even for the same money mate. Young lads aren't going to turn it down.
Not bitter at all he hardly played for villa when your a young developing player you need to be playing competitive football.
https://www.hattersnews.co.uk/LTFC.php?ID=20351 Could be out until after the World Cup due to a strange training ground injury. A change of scenery hasn't stopped his injury woes. He's still injury prone and picks up injuries even without physical contact. He's only had seven league starts. Maybe if he's still struggling for starts when he's back fit we could loan him for a promotion push.
