I only use it as a camera as it is pretty good for what I desire, but I've broken both front and back panels, it won't fire up and it's not charging.
It has no sim card as I use it for photos and videos but do you think the pics etc that are in it are retrievable.
There is NO memory card, only its internal memory. This particular model does not have the facility to add a card ... you can't even replace the battery unless you're a genius.
If you were going to replace this for another what is a really good phone camera that gives top notch photos etc but which has a memory card and possibly a replaceable battery.
Remember I only want a phone camera, not a phone. I have another mobile for that.

Have you tried plugging it in to your PC or laptop using the USB and cable provided.
Should be able to locate the correct folder and download your photos from the phone onto your pc

Can’t answer on a Samsung but an iPhone you can just plug into a laptop and it would upload to the cloud to access pics, not sure if Samsung do a similar thing?

Few youtube videos showing you how to recover data from Android phone that won't switch on - apologise if you have tried these

Digital cameras with video are quite cheap on amazon

TBF you don’t know how dead the phone is once the screen is gone.
It’s worth plugging it into a pc to get some charge into it (even if the battery doesn’t hold charge, having the constant power supply will help) and then see if you can see the contents of the phone.

But if you genuinely are only using it as a camera, an actual camera is cheaper and better at being a camera.

Phones don’t have ‘great cameras’ they have mediocre cameras and a load of image processing capability.

You’re quite interested in wildlife, I’d suggest a LUMIX with a good zoom range will be better than a phone for everything except pocketability.
