I can remember reading an great article in the Guardian a few years back when he released his book.

 

I'm lost for words. So pleased you posted it.

I don't remember the guy reffing, but having listened to that, I'd like to think he's a lot better than the current crop.

 

Funniest thing I've listened to for years. I remember him as a decent ref, but can see where he had issues with Burnley. He sent a couple of their players off at our place sometime in 1995 and got dogs abuse.

Best bit of that podcast was where he was going on about the 21 man brawl at Norwich v Ipswich, the only player not involved was Bryan Gunn the Norwich keeper. He said something along the lines of "....I should have booked him for cowardice".
