    Horrible place. Cashless, parking paid for by phone, website or black box, eight quid to park, turnstiles opening late at 2 pm, £6.50 meal deal for pop and a poor quality burger and toilet queues as there was only about half a dozen spaces.

    I remember that Third Round game in 1998. All Premier League clash at Oakwell. Bolton had Beardsley playing for them. Our 1-0 win was the start of a brilliant run where we knocked out Spurs and Man Utd before being cheated at St James Park in the Sixth Round

    There's also the Third Round game against them from January 1988. We won 3-1 with Julian Broddle (2) & John Beresford scoring for us.

    Yes I was at that one as well. Always seemed to be a good game against Bolton, home or away, with plenty of goals - lots of 2-2 draws. Hard to believe it has been so long since we beat them. We have two more chances this season to put that right

    Off the field we could learn a lot from Bolton on how to not rely so much on transfer fees to be self sufficient. Two concerts by Pink next June with 36,000 people there both nights. Hosting the England vs France match this Saturday in the Rugby League World Cup. Hotel at the stadium. Halloween week hosts a week of Snooker on ITV with the Champions of Champions event taking place in their Premier Suite.
