We were in a slightly false position in my opinion

Would remain surprised if we finished anything beyond 8th

we are mid table fodder but if we have a chance come Xmas then agree we should get a new striker in…

If only anyone could have foreseen that in the transfer window.

I don’t recall anyone concluding we didn’t have enough up front after it closed…

Everyone knew what the problem was during the window.
    Board didn't address it.
No wonder we have only scored same amount of goals as Burton and only Bolton have scored less than us in the top 9.

Guy we let go (Adeboyejo) has scored more goals than Norwood has bookings. Doubt he's ate as many dinners though.

Half the people on here Bellyaching on here about us being where we are (just outside the playoffs) are the same people who were questioning whether we’d be good enough to avoid a relegation battle. some classic posters are back with their negativity.

People need to get real. We’re doing about as well as should be expected and the reason we haven’t signed anyone better is because they weren’t available or were too expensive.

I’m genuinely convinced some are only here for a moan.

I just don't care to be honest. I'll say we've a good'un in Duff. The boards puts it's money where it's mouth is and there's nowt much to bleat about. We've lost a game of football FFS.

I’m convinced that your positivity against the negativity on this site tonight, could be taken as negativity. But I know nothing. They’ve lost to Exeter (I was there) and today. My fault for coming home.

We needed two strikers before the season started. Aitchison and Norwood were never going to be the answer and Tedic was a waste of time.

Our problem isn't in front of goal. Norwood, Aitchison, Cole and Tedic will score goals and enough goals in League 1. It's the static midfield that's the problem. Benson is now looking like the Benson we had last season. Kane is a poor man's Mcphail. That leaves Connell. If you can't create you need to be able to run. Benson and Kane ain't runners. Badly missing Thomas and Wolfe.

I'd be tempted to throw Hondermarck into middle.

Fans of virtually every club in every division are probably saying the same thing. All clubs are looking for regular goalscorers. Finding them is the problem, when you are not flush with money. The great shame for us is that the board felt they had to sell Morris.

The problem is not being able to recognise the problem, but having the funds to address it.

They did try to address it but it went to the last day of the transfer window and didn’t get the deal in place in time. That’s a failing of the clubs making. Woodrow and Morris both went giving us plenty of time to resolve.

we should expect to get something against a team at the bottom though, I don't think folk are unreasonable to expect that?

I agree we should expect to get something against a team at the bottom, but I am sure Liverpool fans are thinking the same today, after they lost to Nottingham Forest. Teams at the bottom don't lose every game. The law of averages frequently reasserts itself. We beat Wednesday when they were due to lose at home and we were due to win away. Today, after a 5 match unbeaten run away, we were due to lose. Morecambe hadn't won at home, so were due to win. Such "unexpected" results happen all the time.

Yeah but most of the posts are so excessive in their nature. Also sometimes teams that are near the top of the league lose to teams near the bottom of the league. People need to realise that. We’re not that good. We’re not that bad. People need to not overreact.
