Is there no team spirit,if we need a trip down the pit and a day yomping about in the Peaks pretending to fire guns Think Duff got his work cut out with the no talk ,just text generation he got at his disposal.maybe a symptom of having a young squad We need a Hourihane captain type figure who inspired the young lads back in 2015/16,finding one going to be hard Duff said after the mining trip “they need to realise they can’t just turn up train ,take their money and go home”,but do we have a players lounge at Oakwell,do we have a place they can chill and bond as a team, someone might know but needs more than just training to make a team spirit
They will bond. My son bonds with his teammates playing Fifa and chatting over the net. Its different, you can't turn back time.
I was thinking the same. Dunking me in a cold stream wouldn't make me feel particularly motivated.. I'm really thinking this stuff ain't working & it's coincided with a serious dip in form. To me it's bloody obvious.
Perhaps the absolute misery and losing mentality last season caused is much bigger than we predicted for the players... wont come close to how we felt though
Wondered about this at the Exeter match when Cadden got subbed off and had to walk round the pitch. Kane got subbed off a minute later and rather than catch Cadden up and then walk to bench with him he just jogged past him without a word. Found it a bit odd.
They need a social club building with snooker tables and should be allowed to drink where nutrition allowed as long as they turn up for training. It's League 1. Yes they're pro footballers but they're too looked after. Let them do some bonding down the pub.
Think you are looking for something thats not there , players get subbed they react in different ways but fans see how a player reacts , put 2 and 2 together & come up with 12 , bonding sessions have gone off at the club since Alan Clarkes days , its all about team spirit , trouble is you need more than team spirit to win matches but it does no harm .
