In September we looked a top 6 side in October we haven’t probably too inconsistent to finish in the top 6 at the moment but who knows what will happen as the season progresses. I think your “Miles off” statement is a bit hyperbolistic most of the top half are similar to us.
What a stunning well thought out post , well done ,opinions are like ar-e holes , we have all got one !
Like I said before, if we can keep picking up points and stay there or there abouts, putting us in a good position for a couple of tweaks in January we can kick on from there.
You'd have to be one of the player's mum to think that first half was anything other than dull. We were happy to let them have the ball but they didn't have anywhere near enough quality to do anything with it, and without the ball they retreated into their own half so we played it from side to side across the half way line. However, Williams did really well to create the goal and Cole finished it off superbly. Second half was a different story. It might have taken us quarter of an hour or so to recognise it, as we were all falling asleep after the first half, but we actually played really well for the vast majority of that second 45 minutes. The only blot on the copy book was that we didn't convert more of the chances our total dominance produced. Does that make us a top 6 side? No, I don't think we are. But we can only beat what's in front of us and we were vastly superior to them. I'd prefer us to get at the opposition from the off, but I can't complain at the tactics we adopted when it produces such a dominant victory and in the second half we were pretty good. That the opposition were so poor doesn't take away from that.
Ordinarily I’d agree with the OP but, oh dear, the quality of this Division!! Appalling. I thought the Championship was bad last year but compared to this division, it looks like La Liga.
Benson and Kane should be taking the piss in this league. We have a shocking forward line and yes we won today but we played a side who will finish in the bottom 3.Loads to do to be anywhere near top 6.
FFS!.....last week we lost at morecambe bottom of league and got rightly slated.....today we did the business and to be fair we could have easily won by 4 or 5!.....why can’t we just be happy with a decent performance, we are in transition big style and it takes time...... just give credit where credit is due, we did fine today for me
We are a couple of tricky players away from a top six side but maybe a season of going nowhere might not be the worst thing
Not been same team since Thomas broke his leg but one man one injury shouldn’t effect other 10 men so much.
I said before the season started I think we’ll be around 10th and I’ve not really seen much to change my mind yet. Who knows though? If we can keep in touch with the top 6 up to January and strengthen a bit, we could have a good run at it. Long way to go yet.
