Once more a goal gets chalked off for me that could have easily stood , when I was at the match he looked comfortably off but having watched the sky highlights umpteen times I am now convinced their centre half is level when the ball is played thus playing him on, fine margins & I know some will disagree but my opinion is that on another day the goal would stand .
TBH looks well off to me. But the angle is poor at best to give a better opinion. Edit Supertykes shot. Does make it appear closer. But still off for me.
Looks a mile off in that shot to me, I think the angle makes him seem less off than he is too. However there is another player who isn't in shot who could possibly be playing him on theoretically. What makes me think hes off is that he didn't complain and nobody in the east lower did either
That is the player I am on about , he is positioned nearer the closed section on the west stand & he is not shown on the screen shot, if you go on sky sports highlights & stop the recording as the ball is played you will see where I am coming from.
They're the same highlights from the same camera aren't they? The other player isn't shown in the sky sports ones either
From skysports.com skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/12733630/barnsley-2-0-forest-green-league-one-highlights It's the same camera
You keep saying so , I havn"t a clue & frankly not bothered who filmed irt I just made a comment on what I saw on the highlights I watched & it looked a lot closer than when I was at the game, thats all & I wondered what others thought, I am not trying to prove a point.
As someone pointed out above I think the player out of shot could have been playing him on. The first shot is the ball leaving Jordan Williams foot and the 2nd one is once the camera starts to pick up the player in the middle who could have been playing him on. Ps. Terrible ref again yesterday.
I thought he was on I sir in the West Upper to the left of the camera so had slightly better angle and I thought their #3 played him on. However the linesman is in a great position so it’s a bit harder to say he is wrong. Unless he didn’t look until too late. 2 very close ones gone against Norwoodin recent games
There isn't a camera angle which shows the right hand centre half. He's a good half yard ahead of his marker though.
Personally, I don’t think he should be giving the lino a chance to put up his flag there. The CB has his back to goal and never turning to catch Norwood from that position, he should be able to see this with his experience. Finishing is great, but he needs to do better with the timing of these runs.
