Yeah he has time on his side still but I feel like he’d have to do a really exceptional job somewhere (probably german lower leagues) to get noticed again over here after his last couple of stints.
Felt like a surprise announcement but he got a cracking reception. Hopefully he saw how much recognition he earned during his time with us today.
It was fantastic to see him and what a Reception from the supporters. Warm and heartfelt. A recognition that he provided us with one of the best seasons in my 50 years of following the Reds. Credit to the Club for the invite as well. All the very best for the future DS.
Apparently he's now the manager of Hannover 96's second team. Any truth in this? If so, great to see him back in a job at a club he clearly loves
Great bloke Daniel Stendel, never got the support he needed from the then board as Pinnock, Davies, Lynsey and later Moore all sold after gaining promotion. He took to the fans and vise versa.
Pedantic nit picking I know but Davies wasnt sold - he ran his contract down and wouldnt sign a new one - I will give you the other 3 though Lynsey had only a year left and would have gone for nowt if we hadnt sold him. Pinnock and Moore however...
