I really wanted us to keep Vic for league one, but he definitely made the right choice in leaving for his personal self in hindsight. Glad to see him doing so well for himself, long may it continue
He wasn't good enough then and wouldn't be good enough now. I don't get this love in with bang average ex-players.
There's a love in because we said we'd keep him for league one? He'd have been perfect for us today, coming off the bench with 20 minutes to go.
Never ever rated Vic but by the christ…..our options right now are non existent. He’d definitely improve us now and I can’t believe I’m saying that.
Talking of ex players scoring, a para phrased description of Sky’s report on Late Luton equaliser against Rotherham. Carlton Morris puts it back in the middle, keeper saves from Jordan Clark and it goes in off Luke Berry
Really pleased for him. It's weird to say you like someone when you've never even met them, but I really liked Vic. I also think it was right for both him and the club that he moved on. No axes to grind here, just a smile that a good bloke is doing well for himself. And we won too so a nice day.
Did right to let go, his record at Oakwell was nothing short of shocking & he was stuck in a rut, the move was beneficial for both club & player, wish him luck for the future but we can't live in the past, he's gone!!
Hopefully we get a striker in for January and stop thinking christ he'd walk into our team right now. Good luck vic though
Hardly had many starts. I said cauleys 7 games 0 goals for luton was a shocker but you pulled me up on the amount of starts. Victor was in and out of the squad 15 mins here and there off the bench hardly ever started or continues starts.
Plenty of times where he came on for less than 10 minutes in his earlier days. You can use stats however you want
He made 92 appearances for us scoring 7 goals often coming off the bench against tired defenders,he was sent out on loan to Cambridge & Bristol rovers & failed to do anything, if you are comparing that to Woodrows record with us then thats fine, I know which player I prefer, I have not slagged him off & have wished him well, you obviously have a different opinion to me which is fine
Moat of those 90 appearances were off the bench. players need regular runs in the side to be given a chance 5 or 10 minutes against tired legs or not is no good for a player so should not be judged on that. Im not comparing them just comparing how you defended cauley for his start at luton. Do you not agree victor would get in our 11 now?
