Sat in west lower today and every time cole missed a goal chance he kept cupping his hears in direction or board He made it very obvious
I sit west stand lower and didn’t notice anything in particular like that. He’s always pretty animated on the touch line tbf. The missed opportunities from balls going in to the box today was pretty obvious. We put loads of good ones in. Hopefully we can keep this sort of position up until January and then with a bit of backing, potentially could have a real go at the playoffs.
I was pretty annoyed, not far short of angry that we were starting the season with Cole up front after his "performances" last season and having had all summer to replace him. But I've been pretty happy with his efforts so far this season and reckon he may hit double figures. Slight caveat being that with some of the chances we create, a properly decent striker at this level would have 20 plus.
I also sit in the West Stand lower , did you move to the back of the stand when the rain got bad?. I'm on the back row of the lower tier so I don't have anyone behind me but when the rain started to get bad a lot of fans moved to get shelter. I have to say they're behaviour and vocabulary was both vile and racist within touching distance of senior citizens and children. Grown men acting like imbeciles.
I sat in the lower west more or less in line with Duff & did not pick up on anything , what ever you saw was not obvious to me although he did get wound up a couple of times with the officials especially when Connel got booked for virtually nothing & the linesman did not flag for the penalty on Jalo
We sit second row to the back so no, we don’t move any further back. I’ve also noticed that on occasion. I think standing up seems to make people get a bit rowdy…
They said there was too many people in the area. The funny thing is the stewards are happy enough telling people to sit down on the back row , but when it gets a bit real they don't want to know .
Sums it up well. Cole was terrible last season. Fair enough, he was playing above his level so he was going to find it difficult, but he also played without effort. Not so this season. He's worked hard in every game I've seen him. And he's not bad at this level. But he's not great either. With the amount of chances we're creating a good striker would be in hog heaven. Cole may get double figures, he may not, but he's the best we've got.
The board MUST get him a couple of strikers in January. We will see what the board are made of and if they give Mr Duff the backing he deserves.
