Not sure what Steve Houghton did to get his but there should be more knighthoods given to people like Sinfield
The guy seems to be an absolute gem. You're right, that he should be Nighted for what he is doing to help combat the absolute lovely person of a disease that is MND. Rob Burrow's story is both heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time, and the amount of love you can see his family and friends(and fans too, to be fair) have for him never fails to bring a tear to my eye.
His family are immense and dealing with it with so much dignity in heartbreaking circumstances, Kev Sinfield should definitely get a Knighthood he's unbelievable.
As Cod Eye stated, above, it really does bring a tear to the eye. To see Rob Burrow’s Dad, wife and daughters all glowing with pride about what Kevin Sinfield has achieved. I just hope, to God, that the incredible sum of money raised goes some way to hopefully finding a cure for this evil, horrible disease. I lost my own Dad to MND and to see Rob in his wheelchair with a vacant look on his face despite the fact his mind will be fully functioning is heartbreaking. Kevin Sinfield has been a true friend to the family, an absolute legend and I completely agree, King Charles needs him top of his list in the New Year - Sir Kevin.
Just a super humble guy who "went on a run for a mate". https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-63690741?at_medium=RSS&at_campaign=KARANGA
As a Wakefield fan I never likened to him for obvious reason but what he has done for rob burrows is truly unbelievable , like someone mentioned earlier it fetches a tear to your eyes , the man is truly unbelievable well done Kevin sinfield what a true gent , friend .....knight the man
They said when he arrived at Bradford City ground that he'd NEVER received such a warm welcome in Bradford before lol.
Salt of the earth. Always been a humble guy even when captaining Leeds Rhinos to numerous trophies in his illustrious career. One of the first sports people I ever interviewed as a student journalist, spoke to him a number of times, always had time, a pleasure to chat to. Now the whole country can see what a man he is. Heartbreaking for anyone to see what's happened to Rob (and anyone that has/has had MND), but as someone that watched Burrow play dozens of times as a Rhinos supporter, including in title winning performances, and interview him too, it's especially devastating to see how he is now. But then Sir Kev brings a smile to your face so many times in recent months. Just hope a cure is found eventually, and that all this effort Kev has gone to is rewarded how it deserves to be.
I was more thinking this guy… https://amp.theguardian.com/politic...illiamson-awarded-knighthood-by-boris-johnson
Was there at OT yesterday, the moment was absolutely amazing when he ran on to the pitch. If this bloke doesn't get a knighthood then this country is truly ******. But knowing Sir Kev, he won't be that bothered because he would say it's not about him at the end of the day. I cried I'll admit!! So pleased my boy was there to see it.
Arise Sir Kevin!!! I know this country is fckud but if we can't acknowledge what this man has done then its time to call it a draw and start a revolution
