Just noticed here’s Jonny are hanging up the guitars end of the year. Obviously w club band scene isn’t what it used to be (does anyone actually go out for the turn anymore?) these guys are/were one of the best of the past 20 years
Basically, Gaz their excellent drummer, has said he is calling it a day at New Year. I can only assume Jonny is struggling to find a good enough replacement and decided to call it a day. They haven’t quite been the same since they lost Nick, on bass, Jonny’s brother in law and best friend (suicide, sadly, and a truly decent bloke) and the line up’s changed often since. This has come as sad news as they were one of the few remaining bands that could still fill a clubs concert room and make it feel like the. 90s again. But I shall aim to find out his remaining few gigs, locally, and will post on here so we can give the lads a proper send off for anyone interested.
Top band. I managed to talk em into doing Hoyland reds presentation do one yr. Kids. Adults and us oldies loved em. I've wondered if Donny singer Yungblud took a leaf out of Johnny's book with his antics. Mental lol.
Looking to get back into the WMC band scene in the near future. So many excellent bands out there afore covid.
