    It was great feet from Barnsley's number seven to shimmy past a couple of challenges, and fashion space on the edge of the box.

    From there, she curled the ball beyond the dive of Donnelly. It has been a bright start by the hosts, but now they trail.

    My mate's daughter was playing centre half today for Barnsley. I watched my sister in the last round for Oughtibridge, unfortunately they lost to Nottingham Forest. My sister's 38 now and has dropped down the tiers but has played for Wednesdays, United, Rotherham over the years so has played at that standard, but it was a great experience for the young players at Oughtibridge. Forest had all their social media team, first team coach etc there. The coach was hilarious though, it blocked the whole car park.

    There are two teams. I think there was a bit of a fall out with the club a few years ago and the original team formed this one which plays at Wombwell. A new Barnsley FC ladies team was then resurrected.

    I've had to have a look into this, l have two girls in my junior team, absolute brilliant footballers - they've just got into Barnsley schools team and play for the Barnsley women.

    Barnsley Women FC play in the 4th tier on the football pyramid and they're trying to build the first women's only football stadium in the country. Currently just outside the relegation places.

    Barnsley FC Ladies play in the 6th tier and are the ones associated with Barnsley FC. I think this was the team that were top of the league when covid struck and weren't granted promotion. Currently top of the league.

    Don't know why they don't merge and fast track themselves to the top leagues.
