No keep it the same. People have known since June when this match was being played. Fans will have had train tickets booked for ages.
Well moving the Peterborough game was a great idea - meaning I cant go now and England arent even playing on Saturday Moving the oxford KO time will be annoying for those already with tickets and mean an early start from Barnsley, but I can get to Oxford in time - just no pre match socialising
Depends which England turn up, but considering they came second in a pretty weak group, I'd be very surprised if they did.
You didnt expect them to finish above Netherlands did you? Id prefer to keep times unchanged. Not going personally but as mentioned be a right farce for those who are
3pm kick-off should not be an issue for 99.9% of Oxford fans and Reds fans have bought tickets in full knowledge of the possibility of an England game at 7. Plenty of time for those who can't make it home to watch the (potential) England game in their chosen alternative venue - we'll be watching in London before getting the train back North. Moving the Oxford game now would be tantamount to criminal imho and coming on the back of the ludicrous Peterborough change (congrats to Accrington and a number of League 2 clubs btw for standing firm) would be the final kick in the teeth for us - we can only afford to go to away games by buying 'early on sale' priced train tickets.
I think that the current Netherlands side are pretty powder puff. Think they will crumble when their backs are against the wall. Overmars, Bergkamp and friends they are not.
The Dutch were lucky for a start, to hang onto a draw against Ecuador. And they only got their goals late on against Senegal, when the game could have gone either way at that point. I think the Yanks can scare them if they go at them, like they did against us.
It’s full mental that our games are being moved for………. Another teams games! I’m a Reds fan. If I catch the England match great, if I miss one to watch the reds, so be it. Anyone who’s country before club (blows my mind but they do exist) won’t be going to Posh or Oxford anyway.
I’m a massive England fan and going to Oxford so your assumption isn’t 100% correct. And before saying well why am I not in Qatar I decided not to go for ethical reasons but gutted to be missing it. I for one don’t get this club v country thing as I am close to both so I can’t understand people not being interested in England but it’s their choice. Hopefully a win for both that day.
