These two came in at the end of last year and showed a lot of the fight and passion that were missing from many other members of the squad. Just had a look online to see how they are doing this season but there is not much about them. Be nice to get them both back in League 1 for a promotion push
You'd hope that if we're bolstering the squad that players will already have been sourced. Can see the club having another re-shuffle with the contract situations. For example agreeing new deals with players just to safeguard a transfer fee like they did with Styles.
Is there a chance Styles is coming back? Doesn't seem to be getting much game time for Millwall. Certainly not first choice
I don't want him back. Might upset the balance of the squad and the midfield seems to be doing fine without him.
Quina been a bit part player for Elche in the Spanish Premier league. Bassi a bit part player for Metz in the French 2nd tier. I can't see either dropping down to league 1.
Not sure we need either to be honest. Both were good last season in their short loans but they are both attacking midfield players, our midfield currently is the strongest area we have so not sure we need to disrupt that. Any funds we have available need to be spent adding a new striker or two and some competition/cover for Williams at RWB.
Don't think Styles would be an automatic choice if he came back anyway. Always been overrated for me.....
I think it would depend on which Styles we got back, the one from last season where two poor managers were in charge or the one from the season before. I'd be pretty confident Michael Duff would get the best out of him, and we're in league one. He'd make a difference, I think. There might not be a break clause of course, and we might not really be able to afford his wages either.
Nobody thought for a second (not even himself) that King Ronnie would step down from Celtic in the Scottish Prem, to 3rd division Barnsley. But he did....
Duff was at the Cheltenham v Chelsea 21s game last night maybe running rule over potential signings or loans or maybe putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5.
He is currently having injury problems thus restricting his game time ,but his loan is for the season which is a shame because a quality player who is a current International & would make a big improvement to the squad ,especially under a coach who knows what he is doing unlike those two herberts from last season who managed to turn decent players into struggling players , any championship player when used right would improve a division one side .
It may be sacrilege but Ronnie also had other reasons for moving away from Glasgow albeit they were 'unproven'.
