I can see that group and knockout matches have to be decided somehow, but at a final I strongly feel that the trophy should be shared if 90 minutes and ET can't sort it.
naaeeeeeeew. what an anti climax that would be. you'd just end up with both teams settling for the draw, to avoid losing. can only be one winner. should only be one winner.
I reckon after the 2nd period of extra time the game should be continued until someone scores a deciding winner. After the 2x15 minute periods have a turn around break have another 'sudden death period (2 additional subs per 15 minute slots including allowing previously substituted players to return) until someone scores. That way, the teams win or lose as a team ( after all it is a team sport). This, of course, would upset the broadcasting schedules but I am sure they could cope!!
I don't think I'd be able to stand the abstinence. To shoot the goo furthest you need to let it build.
90's MLS shootouts were so much better than traditional penalties. https://www.givemesport.com/1765958-mls-penalty-shootouts-were-absolutely-wild-in-the-1990s
Have a read of this Helen. Really great article. https://theathletic.com/1800695/202...d-shootout-and-why-it-should-be-brought-back/
