Why do people keep ignoring that particular fact?

I am not sure people are ignoring it more unaware of it , I for one did not know that they had put that amount in but if they have then that is fantastic that they are supporting the club when it is needed , tough times for everyone at the moment , well done to the the board.

I apologise mate if you weren't. It has been fairly well publicised, I believe it came out of one of the meetings between the fans and board. I did have an exchange with someone on here around the time it happened, who couldn't understand why we didn't have a transfer warchest as a result. The £4m put in is to help foot the shortfall from relegation, and is in addition to the money gained from Helik, Morris and Woodrow.

I am curious Archie , have they loaned the club the money or is it a gift as such ? Only my early comments on the subject was that I thought that the Accrington chairman may have funded their new facilities as it was commented that they had done it on gates of 4000 . I personally do not think their attendances have anything to do with their ground improvements & we should not be compared as such with them , I am just happy to see our club surviving in difficult times & making progress on the pitch .

It's a cash injection so isn't a loan or anything it's money that the directors voted to put into the club and then any shareholders had a choice of matching the investment (on a percentage basis) or losing some of their shares. So even chien lee and I assume con way put in money to keep their shares. It's money they can't take back out of the club unless we make a profit at some point and the directors vote to give dividends like any other non-football business would at the end of the year

    I think
