Truck with CK Beckett on it - huge Barnsley FC badge with Big Kev 68 written on it. No one on here is it? Amazing how excited you get when you see something like this in a place you don't expect lol
Football badges on vehicles tell you a lot. I was on one of those fast A roads in North Yorkshire when I came to a roadworks at red. There was one car waiting in front of me. As it turned to green, he moved off then suddenly stopped dead. Could easily have rolled into the back of him. I thought he’s stalled. Couldn’t see the road ahead because of a bend when suddenly a car doing about 60 flashed past from the opposite direction. He’s obviously jumped the lights. Looking in the rear view mirror I saw one of those massive LUFC stickers on his back window. Enough said.
While at Czech moto gp year before covid pulled up in car park on bike few t other bikes in car park one had oakwell badge on top box turns out the couple were from pontefract
Don't think we've ever been on holiday and my mum and dad haven't known someone from Barnsley - we get everywhere. Teacher I was talking to last week was from Hoyland
Often see a brown Honda Civic in Billinghay Lincs with the boot window covered in a huge BFC logo and wonder if they are on here?
Where exactly are you based? We moved to Lincoln city centre in October. Billinghay holds memories of teenaged mischief at the Feast!
My grandad on my mum's side only ever went on holiday once in his life, a day trip to London. He went with some put mates and they visited pubs as well as the sights. He was amazed that lots of Londoners knew him, saying "Hi Mick from Wombwell", it was only when he got home and took his coat off he saw that somebody had chalked "Say Hi to Mick from Wombwell" on the back.
Brayford. Burton Waters looks lovely but a bit far out for us. Some excellent bars and restaurants round the Brayford area, albeit we've not had much of a chance to hit them as we've been so busy since moving there. Hoping to get out and about once we get back from holiday in the New Year.
Slightly off topic but we booked a log cabin in the new forest a few years back and got out next to some southerners, their accent was driving me crazy. Anyway as we were packing up to leave one of the southerners jumped on a bike sporting a Barnsley shirt. Couldn’t believe it, we’d been dead eyeing each other all week.
Took kids from school a few years ago to Wales - in the next Cabin were 30 kids doing their National Citizens program sponsored by Barnsley Fc. Went to breakfast in my BFC shirt and got a chorus of yooou reds
Went to a Billy hills in scawthorpe a few months back and there was a red car with a big Barnsley badge in window which made me smile
