    When our son Christopher was little, Crystal had him leave Santa a glass of milk, cookies and a carrot for Rudolph. I always insisted Santa would prefer something like a glass of brandy, but for some reason, he never got one!

    Remember buying reindeer dust to put on the path - paid about fiver a bag then realised it was glitter and porridge oats and the Yorkshireness kicked in :)

    Laura leaves out a mince pie, Reindeer dust a stocking and a carrot from George. As a kid I didn't leave anything out for Santa. Dad used to say he left a whiskey and mince pie, some pickled onions and cheese, liver pate, pork pie and cracker wheat for him. I never saw it though.

    It's a tradition I've tried to uphold on Christmas Eve.
