https://fanbanter.co.uk/bold-new-st...DRVwIEQzOdb8d3HjnYjxheLrw#lby4rc8yqpp06qxzw0q From what I can gather since the demise of Bury FC is one group of fans started an AFC phoenix club and are doing well playing at shared grounds around the local area, another group of fans bought the stadium gigg lane. These 2 groups of fans hate each other so a seemingly good idea of a merger to bring football back to bury was voted no ( mainly by the stadium owners it seems) So one group has a stadium and no team, another has a team but no stadium.
I saw something about this on YouTube (I think) some time ago, sad state of affairs. Makes you feel like bashing their heads together...
The stadium owners group have put forward a motion for a second vote with the leaders of the group pushing for a yes vote
It seems crazy but fan division is bordering on crazy these days. Can be a detriment to the club they supposedly love too. I've watched a couple of Man Utd fan channel things on youtube, and it seems a large majority don't like one another. Taking behind their backs & sniggering other groups. Same could be said with some of our groups too, Red all over & tykes tv. Just seems strange to me when everyone should be in it together
Edit - not saying Tykes tv & RAO hate each other etc etc! Just saying there's been lots of division in the past and offhand comments
Sad state of affairs. It appears in both groups the majority voted for the merger. One of them failing by just over 2% requiring a 2/3 majority. (67%.) I suspect if the merger goes through on a second vote there won't be much harmony. Irreparable damage has been done and some will chalk **** on it given some of the comments.
Bonkers. It reminds me of Monty Python’s Life of Brian. Are you the Judean Peoples Front? No, we’re the Peoples Front of Judea.
Maybe one set voted brexit and the others didn’t… or one set like Megan and Harry and the others don’t… funny old world.
I think the 286 are all Tories and Brexiteers and like Jeremy Clarkson and The Daily Mail. There. Flag to the mast.
It was originally set up by Patrick before he bought BFC. After he bought BFC I'm not sure where the finance to keep them going would come from.
