    And just about thawed through on the car journey home.

    Don't normally comment on referees but that's genuinely of the worst displays I have seen since Willard. The only reasonable assumption to make is that, like Willard, it was just cheating, because surely no one can be that consistently wrong and give so many decisions all in the same direction. Today went way, way beyond incompetence to the extent I can only conclude it was bent.

    With all that said- we've only got ourselves to blame today. So many good chances to be out of sight and super wasteful, and not one clear header on goal from our 2747498 corners.

    Other main observation was that we surrendered control in midfield after Luca was (necessarily) brought off. Wolfe has seemed really anonymous these last two games and hasn't got anywhere near last years form yet.

    Pi$$ poor ref today, but not the first and not the last, and ultimately it wasn't the ref that cost us the points. We didn't do enough on the ball to win it, and even on the penalty we had 4 separate chances to clear it.

    I thought it showed up how thin our squad is. No viable attacking options to throw on, and a massive drop off in quality as soon as Connell was taken off.

    The bench looked weak as piss when the team was announced. Shows what an incredible job Duff is doing.

    I agree it was never a pen but it's not her fault we didn't take our chances we should have been over the hill and far away before she dropped that bollock.

    The foul on Cole towards the end was atrocious refereeing. Could have arguably have blown for 5 different offences between the 30 and 17 yard lines.

    Just got back myself. Yes, the ref was ahem, not very good. But thats not the reason we didn't win the game. We had enough opportunities to win 4 games. Entirely down to our lack of quality up front.

    But we are still unbeaten in quite a lot of games - just one of those days. It happens. Can't complain. Onto Thursday.
