If a "good striker" scores "nearly every week", there are none to be found in League One. Clarke-Harris of Peterborough is the leading scorer in our league with 13 in 23. The only other striker with 1 in 2 is Collins if Bristol Rovers, who has 12 in 24.
I agree that we need strengthening in attack, but virtually every club in all four divisions is looking for regular goalscorers. Unfortunately, there aren't that many of them around and those that are usually go to the highest bidder.
Not on the striker front, very very fortunate we have managed to get where we are with a lower league one strike force. Connell and Phillips do look like good players.
Strikers are always the hardest to find; like Voice of Reason said before, every club is looking for a goalscorer and ultimately money talks. Unfortunately we don't have a lot of that available
Whether or not Morris wanted to go, its actually crazy that we let him go for what we did. He is so well. He might reach the prem. No doubt at all he would have made us 20 this season. I wouldn't be surprised if he does 20 in the season for Luton. If we got 3m for him, its shocking. Norwood is decent, Cole is ok. I can only see us getting a loan in January.
And if he'd got crocked in the first few matches and out for months we'd have been up the creek money wise.
