That win was very reminiscent of a Val side

    Well done.
I still think we are miles too lightweight as a squad but it was a win out of nowhere - we probably deserved it on balance but it looked like one of those days again.

First half I thought we were decent and created a bit but second half, not sure we deserved to take the lead.

Ref fired it up at the end and it felt like the ground erupted for the winner.

    Big game on Monday.

Im not certain i agree. We spent most of the game trying to pass it to our own players rather than (effective) kick and rush like under Val. Either way happy to win.

Huge game coming up against Bolton next. If we can get through that game without a loss and bring in 2-3 additions then hopefully it will give us enough for our play off battle. Definitely need to add at least one striker.

I agree, tactics totally different - just the way we pulled it out.

I know what you mean fired, Val’s team often just found a way to win, many times over in evenly matched games

You can certainly see the belief and confidence growing amongst the players and so it should be because we're more than good enough to win games in this division.

Excellent win. We seem to have a set of boll ocks this season.

I wish we'd brought Duff in last season. Feel like he's worth 10-12 points just like Val was.

Fleetwood were very poor but we had the bit between our teeth and weren't going to lose out a second game! Proud of the lads!

I thought the first half was some of the best stuff we've played this season. Second half we lost our concentration and discipline, particularly after we scored. They really should have got no where near even a shout for a penalty.

That second half Fleetwood dominated midfield, they were winning 1st, 2nd and 3rd balls. However, they were weak and poor up front

I wouldn't say we pulled it out, and if we had to do that it was due to our own failure to put the game to bed in the first half.

Watching us is usually boring, awful on the eye and you rarely if ever come away thinking how exciting our game was and how we've dominated and won convincingly.

All that said if we bore ourselves to promotion I don't care.

I don't think the first half was boring; frustrating that we weren't one or two up, but not boring.

It was grim and the ground had no atmosphere until we scored. Stendel at this level was much more pleasing on the eye. Players willing to take on a man and high intensity. We are getting similar results this season so we are ignoring the entertainment factor. It's really frustrating and we must have missed two dozen chances just in the past few days.

Totally agree with you. There's very little excitement until we score. We're winning games but that's down to sheer graft rather than flair. We have no wingers or wing backs that can beat a man. Every time we get it wide the next ball is usually a pass backwards to a midfielder. That's OK because we're winning but it does not generate any crowd excitement. People complain that the crowd are quiet but it's a chicken an egg situation. You need that fast exciting forward thrust to get the crowd out of their seats. Hopefully Luke Thomas will provide that on his return and maybe we'll sign someone in the January window who can drive forward.

Stendel had significantly better players. Of course it was more pleasing on the eye.

Our home support is broadly terrible. I’m guilty as I’m one of the silent sitters but the atmosphere is poor and has been as far as I can remember. The worst part for me is the audible upset when the defenders play a square ball or the midfielders pass the ball backwards.

Entertainment wise, the last ten minutes and the kid running on the field. Rest of it was poor fare IMO.
