I thought we were doing ok with 10 men until the second. I think longer it went at 1 nil they'd get nervous and we'd get a chance

 

Wolfe did that one amazing run but seems caught in 2 minds a lot for me, doesnt know whether to attack or stay back and then finds himself in no man's land

 

Only 1, it wasn't dangerous play was it?

 

I think cundy and kitchen are our worst players . I’m not including Wolfe in that because he’s only in due to injuries

 

Season isnt over. Its a dog **** league with one or two decent teams. If we dont get in top 6 it will be a total disaster.

 

Of course there’s plenty of points to be won, but let’s be real, the whole fan base is praying for new signings that can fit straight into the side. Until I see that then I’m sticking with my prediction that we won’t make the play offs & those teams i mentioned will.

Think we had a 10-15 minute spell of being ok, but toothless. But could easily have been 3 or 4 down before the second goal.

 

Least it isnt as daft as people actually saying we may have been relegated this season still, I've no idea why you come to that conclusion after our unbeaten/winning run before today. Its one game where our best defender has given a way a penalty and got sent off after 10 mins. Have some perspective

 

For what it's worth I think Wolfe has been our best player. He's unlucky not to have something to show for his performance.

We’ll lose today but do you think all the 23 teams of mostly dross we still have left to play are magically going to be hugely better after January?

We might not strengthen. We might sell.

I’d still fancy us to be there or thereabouts for top six. The standard is rank awful.

As it is I think we will bring at least a couple in.

Stop gifting goals away in penalties and brain farts, then we are defensively top three standard. A semi competent centre forward coming in makes us top six in front of that.

That’s how bad the rest are.

 

Just had a cuppa an a catch up with results, can't believe were as bad as it sounds, i'm in Grimsby t'day watching Brid good game, but 2 1 darn at half time, C,O,Y,R,

Never saw that coming, some did and some saying we deserved it, well nuff said, saw a cracker in Grimsby t'day lost 5 2 but enjoyed the day out. C,O,Y,R, turn em rarnd Duff, an move on.

 

From some of the comments on here you would think we were in a relegation dogfight not a promotion push.
Can’t do this , can’t do that , he’s crap, he’s crap, etc.
We all know we have a wafer thin squad but somehow ( despite the so called shortcomings) we have been on a great run not had the rub of the green from officials and are looking to strengthen .

 

I think it’s how bad the other teams are rather than how good we are . Chin up chest out but we need a few attacking players in because that’s what gets you up

 

We had a more than adequate summer to be fair to the new board set up, mainly the Duff appointment, otherwise my prediction was a relegation battle this season.

Iv more come the conclusion due to lack of quality from midfield through to the final third, I hoped Benson could kick on & he did for a short while but he seems to have stagnated again, & our lack of striking options is clear to see. Norwood is nowhere near good enough & Cole is average. Our defence has been solid granted, but that’s not going to score us goals. There are better teams, Bolton being one of them as proven today, & Wycombe who soundly beat us are finally in the form people expect despite a slow start. Derbys squad rightly or wrongly are just too good for this league, & the other 3 are running away with it.

 

It’s really not good today. Apart from the two shocking goals conceded they just don’t seem to have any idea, all over the pitch. Bolton have not outplayed us, weaved done it to ourselves.

Big improvement needed second half

 

This isn't great viewing. We won't win this game but we'll learn a lot about this team this half - collectively and individually.

 

Bolton proven today vs 10 men, a penalty and a major **** up. Why didn't they prove it against us in our previous matches?
