Send any clubs best defender off and concede a penalty in first 10 mins and see how other clubs play. Especially considering how their second was scored. I think alot of people are being harsh. Kitching and Cundy been very poor, but dont think rest have been all that bad considering
But the incident of the penalty / red card was the third time they’d got in behind us, in 10 minutes. Their midfielders won most challenges against our midfielders in the first half, their defence dealt with our attack with ease and our defence seemed to be in a competition of who could make the worst mistake. Better for the first 20 of the second half, but suspect Bolton’s cue was on the rack by then.
Dead and buried at 2-0 I thought after that the midfield played okay under the circumstances, offering up a bit of entertainment. On another subject, I would suggest looking at the possibility of returning Josh Martin to Norwich now. When loaning someone from the divisions above you need them to lift the team like Whittaker has done at Plymouth. Nothing personal against Martin but he isn't starting and when he comes on he doesn't affect the game much.
One game . Bad day. Move on. FA cup next game. Field the majority of the back up players. Mads misses it through suspension. Time to get a player or 2 in before the next league game.
just realised that, but still got a game in hand, get some attacking options in, in the next couple of weeks and kick on
Tbh I was more disgusted with the third goal than the other two . A penalty I can take , a mistake from defender to goalkeeper I can take but when defenders decide to join in with the oleh’s from the away supporters instead of defending I’m not very impressed . We had three or four chances to put a challenge in before he scored and we decided to let them entertain their supporters instead of doing the job they’re paid to and it was nothing to do with only having ten men .
True. Think the Norwood half volley was the only real save their keeper had to make. We were thoroughly outplayed from minute 1 sadly. Not seen much of us this season, so can’t comment on whether it’s just a bad day or not, but the way our midfielders were second to most balls in the first half in particular, was a worry.
Bad day at the office, game effectively over after 10 mins. Some of the responses on here beggar belief. 19 from 21 before today, and the best defence in the league. We lose a game of football and people lose their minds. Hillsborough might be more suitable for some fowk.
I tend to get a gut feel from the off and my gut feeling was Bolton were stronger, more up for it and more accurate with their passing. They had quite a few opportunities to score that they didn't convert too.
Not only that we seem to have a jinx against Bolton anyway. Not beaten them at Oakwell in 25 years. But game effectively over after mads red card Second gift goal made it certain. I thought we did well second half until we ran out of steam towards the end
It won’t get overturned if we appeal it but I thought it was very harsh. Most refs would have just given the pen and possibly a yellow. That’s if they hadn’t given the foul on Mads outside the box when the attacker pulled Mads back
