Sky sports is much better than BT sports but you can get BT sport via Sky and SkySport via BT

So it probably comes down to the deal you can get
Im on BT purely because I cant fit a satellite dish with a view of the satellites on the Equator so at the time I signed up BT was the only option to stream everything via broadband. The Sky sports is a bit clunky as its done via a NowTv on a BtVision ( basicallly youview) box but it does have the option to record Skysports channel all integreated into BT's EPG
You can also watch football on the red button but thats not intuitive, for that you need to launch the NowTv app on the Box and go to the bonus streams.

I know watching SkySports on Sky itself is a lot cleaner, but I dont know how the BT sport looks when viewed from Sky

I have both, recently subscribed to bt sport on top of my existing sky deal.

Expensive yes but I can record what I like on the q box from any channel so I like that.

Content wise it depends what you’re into.

BT is good for rugby union, motorsport that isn’t F1, mma (and wwe though that isn’t sport in my view), and some of the away test cricket tours (though the recent Pakistan tour was on sky). As well as the football, premier league stuff that isn’t on sky (or Amazon), and all the champions league games.

You can also watch the bt channels, as well as the sky ones, on your phone/laptop with the sky go app if you go through sky.

Like I say, it’s a dear do, but it works for me. Not hugely against those who get firesticks etc, but I prefer to subscribe and have a reliable steady source.

Been with Sky since 1993 and very pleased with every aspect.
I have SkyQ which is still through satellite and have resisted changing to SkyGlass which is all streamed.
Buffering does still occasionally happen on the recent streamed channels like Paramount, Netflix and Amazon prime video but the Sky satellite channels are consistently good

Yeah sounds like a problem with the 5hit box. I wouldn't go poking it too hard. Best left to a professional.

What really fecks me off. Is they are all expensive. And I like to choose sports to watch that doesn't involve stupid amounts of subscriptions. Even the mrs was spitting feathers when the final series of The walking dead was passed on to the Disney Channel.
Dodgy boxes solve the issue but surely there will be a time when these channels will not be able to afford to produce programmes or show live events.

Amazon Fire Stick with some (ahem) additional apps.
Best of all worlds, occasional buffering on the sport. including IFollow, but not enough to worry about.
I pay ten quid a month for the iptv app, I could pay more for a year's sub but I don't want it to be pulled so I just pay for what I want/need.

Cancelled the lot as it was way too expensive for how much I watched it. As others day really comes down to what you actually want to watch.
