Won’t write the lad off before I’ve seen him but I have two questions (not the obvious ones) is he A for the Development squad or B injured ?

I’ve got some of their Terry’s plant pots… and they’re solid. So probably a good signing….

At 24yrs surely he’s going into first team squad my main worry would be the fact he’s only played 50 odd games .

Surprisingly neither. He’s not fit though as it’s preseason in Ireland and he’s apparently not been involved as they knew he was leaving. Be 2 or 3 weeks before he’d be fit to start I’d guess?

Just relaying a couple of comments from The42, a big Irish sports news site. One saying he's a strong athletic player and the other saying he was brilliant in his brief time at St Pats.
There's a big caveat on the quality of Irish league football though albeit it is improving.

We had that many Williams's at that time couldn't think of his first name..
Remember his dad having a moan when he was only offered a fiver aweek more after promotion

I think there was a bit more to it than that. His dad said George had only asked for a fiver a week more. I can't remember the full ins and outs, but he said the club made him an offer that put him a fiver below some sort of threshold for us requiring a fee to sell him. I don't remember exactly.

A - Not quite. But it's reported that he's back up RWB, if I had to bet, I'd say a replacement for Williams in the summer rather than this month. Likely to be playing for the u21s this season to build his fitness up, unless injuries dictate he's needed
B - Pretty sure I read he's in his pre-season, so needs to build his fitness up, but not injured

All guesswork though, for all I know, Williams could go today and Cotter is needed on Saturday.

So how much are we having to pay Ken Shamrock, for this player ?.
Seems like an odd one does this to be honest.
