    Good luck to the lad, I hope we’ve signed him to be challenging for a place in the match day squad… It’s all good and well getting players in to develop, but I feel we need them challenging for a place in the first team. That’s what we need if we truly want to push on and get out of L1

    We signed Darren Sheridan from Winsford United. Just sayin'. Hopefully back up at first, but at least we are putting a round peg in a round hole & not playing an out of form midfielder there if needed.

    I'm Irish and have been crying out for Barnsley to invest in the LOI for a long time. There is talent there and kids can't move to England until they are 18 due to Brexit. The league is also completely skint although academies are getting better. You can now pick up kids who previously were in top premier league academies for 5 figures - a number have gone to the Championship recently.

    This signing is a little odd though as Cotter had fallen out of favour at Shamrock Rovers who are by far the top team. There is potential there, but we could have signed Rovers actual right back for not much more.

    Anyway, best of luck to Barry, has plenty to offer for sure!
