It isn't. No way we'd pay off Duff after such a short amount of time, after doing so well, and then on top of that pay a compensation to United. He's very highly rated, and one of the youngest to receive top pro-licences. When he was specifically set-piece coach, he cut their conceded goals from set-pieces by 60 odd percent in one season. Blackpool have Mick McCarthy now too
Absolute nonsense re us. Blackpool were reported to be interested a little more reliably elsewhere, but now have Mick of course.
Thought it was BS. It's just that I received it as a notification, don't know why as it's not a website I visit/read.
Barry Cotter was signed without Duff's say so. "The club obviously saw something in him giving him a three and half year deal". That doesn't sound very harmonious to me.
Poor and/or very lazy journalism. Ramsay was linked to us before Duff was appointed and what I think the person writing the article is trying (and failing miserably) to get over is that Ramsay is and has been mentioned in connection with a number of current and past EFL vacancies. Ten Haag didn't want to lose him then and doesn't want to lose him now.
It's old news. His was a name being touted by the media for both the Blackpool and our post before Duff was appointed. Someone needs to delete their archive inbox.
How do you know, do you actually believe them and trust them to NOT want to get rid of Duff. Especially if they can see financial gain out of it.
Where is the financial gain from getting rid of Duff thus paying him off and then paying compo to United to bring in his replacement?
I don't mean sacking him, I mean if they know another club are wanting to sign him, and pay us compo etc (like Val to West Brom). I bet they'd be ok with this even if it meant destroying everything he/Duff had built. And then we're back at the appalling square one position, yet again.
Pretty sure that article is from the summer, and the '2 days ago' at the top probably refers to when it was last updated.
‘A recruitment team find’ is not the same as ‘signed without any involvement from me’. I’d guess >80% of all football transfers are a recruitment team find.
