Just thought we were really sloppy at times and again looked worse after making the changes I really don't want to be critical though as we've been crying out for a win and I'm over the moon we've bounced back
Let's concentrate on the positives . Game over after 45 mins, that'll do for me every day of the week .
Postive Press and kill the dross off early. We did that Negative Was it a pen? Was on my way out then. These penalties need to stop. If it was 0 0 or 1 0 we would he raging. We need to keep up the tempo
Taking into account how woeful Accrington are then we should have won by more. I don't think Duff will be overly happy with that 2nd half.
Pretty much how I saw it Seemed a perfect opportunity to get more confidence in the team with a big win, but I just felt we really took our foot off the gas second half. No disrespect to Accrington whatsoever but they did look miles off it and had our passing/decision making been better we would have no doubt scored a couple more But, as I said before, the win is what matters
I mentioned GD earlier in the thread and it could be crucial, u look at those around us...... Ipswich. +21 Derby. +18 Bolton +12 Peterboro +10 Barnsley +9 Today was a day, we could have smashed that. It is said that footballers are not always the brightest, I wonder if they appreciate that "a win is a win" is not always enough. The marginal gains make the difference and today was a missed opportunity. But it was 3 points.
Got to agree with thomasevans thought Bobby Thomas had a good debut.Think we've got a good one there.
After twenty minutes I thought we were going for our record score which was, coincidentally against Accrington. In the 1933/34 season we won the away game 9-0. We beat them 6-0 at home as well so we should have at least equalled that score. Oh well, a win's a win as they say but it was double disappointing to concede a dubious penalty yet again. Dodgy buffering on iFollow first half but it was better in the second half for me. What a shame the players didn't keep up the pressure on very poor opposition though.
We needed a win, we won convincingly. I’m happy with that. Very soft penalty, exactly like at their place but just glad to win.
We played really well when we needed to. All three goals were taken well. Connell had yet another flawless game. Just a shame we didn't keep it up for 90 minutes and seemingly settled for the 3 goals once we'd got them. Frustrating but I'd much rather us be in the position to settle for 3 than not be
Not just a soft penalty, if there was any sort of infringement then it was the other way, our player (Larkech?) was in possession.
I’d have taken 3-1before the game without a doubt but we really should’ve been more ruthless today. Ought to have had 5 or 6 to be honest, we seemed to just go through the motions second half. That pen though was a joke. I don’t think they even appealed, mind boggling how he gives that.
Second half was awful to watch for me. I was hoping we’d go for the kill after the third, but we seemed to stop playing. Accy are as bad a team as I’ve seen at this level.
Well said. I was annoyed when I left today because that was a 5-6 nil game, they don't present themselves often but when they do we should take advantage. Happy with a win but that could have been so much more. Penalty. Can see why it was given in the modern game, but these make a mockery out more justifiable penalties.
I said previous we just need a win, doesn't matter about how good performance is, just need to get back to winning ways. Thankfully we did that & more. Very, very happy today.
Really? I honestly can't see how it wasn't a foul for us? I'll have to watch it back but I initially cheered because I thought it was our free kick, was absolutely baffled at the decision
