Then when we get a dodgy one in the distant future we can show people the very dodgy ones we’ve had against us this season. Because today’s looks worse than all of them.
Tbf I’ve been the first to say some of the pens against us were stonewall, and reckless defending. The one today however, was an embarrassing decision. If that’s a penalty, we should have had a dozen this season, yet we’ve not had one.
Aye, on reflection most of the ones we've conceded have been at least debatable, some bang on, but today? Never a penalty in a million years. How a player in possession of the ball can be hauled to the ground and the decision given against him is completely beyond me.
And yet we're not allowed to say this are we lol. Because apparently its sad and pathetic to keep complaining on here about the refs, and suggesting that somehow they are being unfair against us.
I'd left the game just before the penalty yesterday, had somewhere to be and needed to beat the traffic. Having listened to Michael Duff's interview, I'd have thought it was clear cut. He took responsibility for it, saying he probably didn't need to bring Larkeche on, but feels he applies himself well enough in training to warrant a run out. Having seen it, it's easily the softest one we've conceded this season. I'd even argue it was a foul the other way. Larkeche has done little wrong. The referee yesterday was poor again I thought. Didn't have anything major to do, but was content with stopping the game for every little niggle. It's a good job we set off so quickly and put the game to bed inside the first 10 minutes, as it could have been a very frustrating afternoon.
I thought the ref was poor again yesterday in general. We were winning comfortably so it didn't really matter but their number 6 committed an awful foul near the halfway line and didn't get booked. In another match that could have been a game changing decision as he was then rightfully booked ater on and should have been sent off. Then there was a disgusting foul late on in front of the west stand when they went straight through a player and I'm sure he didn't even get talked to
Should never have got into that position. All he had to do was hoof it down the field, which he had chance to do. Decided to **** about instead.
Tbf the only one we've had this season was never a penalty. In fact there are more joke penalties every week on the EFL highlights than ever before. Imo.
