It was. And that's why I don't know what updates Exeter were suggesting they would be able to give throughout the day.

Well if it's any consolation my next two trains from Moorthorpe to Rotherham are cancelled and I'm in Broken Bridge in Pontefract avin' a pint of Worthington's waiting for York to Sheffield train if it isn't cancelled. Won't get home until gone 7 because the bus w@nkers at First Sheffield aren't worth a w@nk either.

I would be beyond raging, if I’d made the trip down there. Those who love a conspiracy theory, will no doubt be drawing a connection to their keeper situation

Its hard to see why' if it was only a couple of places it was frozen and the temp was gonna stay above freezing they didn't just defrost it with hot water' jesus people have travelled hundreds of miles' the Exeter groundstaff have hardly gone above and beyond have they?

I doubt thats the case unless they deliberately left parts of the pitch without a cover. I just think the game should have been called off much earlier - no excuse for leaving it that late for an evening game given the weather forecast

Disgusting, irresponsible and shameful that the decision was made so late in the day. Much respect to those who have gone to the expense of travelling down.
A rare occasion where Barnsley Football Club haven't been blamed. Yet. :)

Coachload of us been in Exeter since around 2.30, staying overnight. Absolute farce of a decision at that time of day. Between Exeter and the EFL (through provision of ref), someone needs to hold their hands up and make sure everyone here / on their way gets compensated. Fans bottom of the pile as usual

In the interests of safety I totally agree with. However given the distance for our travelling fans the lateness of the decision is appalling. It should been today before mid-day.

Heard it was off just before 5pm was saying to mate of mine driving back from Malton that it was a late call off as its a good 500mile round trip, Should av been called off this morning, the fans making the journey wont be reinbursed monies spent.

Dunno. Either way it’s an appalling decision, with zero consideration to the travelling fans.

Should have just re-drawn the lines to cordon off the frozen bits.
