What an absolute waste of a loan in the match day squad, we have a 2nd keeper in Searle don’t we? What is actually going on with the recruitment?!
An odd signing, given there's no option to buy mentioned. Unless Collins is sold, he's probably not going to be in many matchday squads, especially if any more loans come in.
Would assume it will be a role to cover Collins for the rest of the season and then we’ll look for a more permanent solution in the summer. Not sure what is says about Searle, would’ve thought he could cover the bench for the season? Also, I’ve never seen this surname before. Is it “eye-sted” or “iss-sted”?
In the event of an injury to Collins we now have a keeper with even less experience than Walton, even less than Searle I'd say also
Yep, would make it a strange move for him to choose though. If we bring in a striker or midfielder on loan, he won’t even make the bench, unless we send 1 or 2 of the current loan players back
The Oli Shaw deal, if it goes ahead, will be permanent but as you’ve said, if we’re looking at a midfielder then we’re going to have to either pay cash out we don’t really have or some loan players will be sat at home.
Puzzling one. Why has Jack left on a permanent deal and we get the guy on loan... surely it should have been a straight swap??
Not with Searle mate. His only other experience before us was, other than 1 friendly game for new Zealand, 3 appearances for a New Zealand amateur side. I honestly don't really mind this to be fair. I suppose we really are banking on Collins not being injured for a long period of time, but I think that's a risk most lower league clubs face. Especially skint ones.
