If the cap fits. No doubts you think you’re a positive fan, lapping up the mediocrity the club projects.
Signing players that can’t get a game in the Irish or Scottish Prem Yours words not mine, Partick didn’t even sign him, so that makes him a punt??
Errrr... So a positive fan is apparently a super fan now? For what it's worth, I'm disappointed in this window so far. But not with the players who have joined, unlike you who cannot wait to have a dig. I don't think I've ever seen you write anything on here which isn't negative towards the club, owners (fair enough), players or fans. Instead of just talking about something and having an opinion that differs, you make petty remarks all the time. No idea why people think it's only our club that has issues. Or how they think mistakes can be rectified within 6 months. If we go up, am I right to be 'lapping up the mediocrity'?
I’ve not had a go at the players per se. I’ve had a go at the continued belief in something that should have been ditched along with its architect by now. I don’t see what they doing to reciting mistakes. Still repeating the same approach and every time they do it the starting level gets lower.
We strayed from the spreadsheet before, under Conway, and look where we are now with Iseka & Oulare. I don't even know how you can say they're not ready despite never actually seeing them play. Will they be ready? Don't know, Duff will though. Helik, Andersen, Morris, Woodrow, Connell & plenty, plenty more have come via this way, and from smaller leagues or reserve/academies. I see people getting on at Khaled, which is fair enough a lot of the times (as long as it isn't abuse), but they're blaming him for this window and lack of spending but if the board don't allocate him any more, what is he supposed to do? Everyone's berating certain people without actually knowing any details at all.
Cotter has missed one St Patrick's game this season. Shaw dropped to the bench, presumably due to poor form, but again it happens. Let them kick a ball first before writing them off, because that's just weird.
Neither played for a while. Starting point very low. Duff already distanced himself from Cotter. Players are signed on the say so of one of the owners and are handed over to the current “replaceable cog in the machine” to make something of. How long till the real life FM player starts questioning Duff about why neither are playing? A bit like him and his Dad asking DW why he wasn’t playing Mike ******* Phenix
I’m saying they aren’t ready based on where they have come from. Khaled implements the chosen strategy of the board. Nowt to do with him.
I always have to laugh when I see players signing for us then getting wrote off before we've seen them play, just because they can't hold down a first team place at their previous club. Whilst I agree we could have done with a couple of wow signings that might have got folk to sit up and think, you know what, the club have big ideas of going places and therefore just maybe excite and entice the stay away support back. unfortunately that costs money , money what we haven't got, so we've cut our cloth accordingly and brought in players who the board think can enhance the squad accordingly. Up to the time of writing no one apart from Walton has jumped ship...all credit to the running of it all to khaled . Folk are quick to criticise him when it goes wrong or something isn't to their liking .so it's only fitting he should get praise for the job so far this window Todays activity has seen us sign a striker and I'm led to believe that a deal for a midfielder is very close to completion, unless he changes his mind at the very last minute...and we all know that happens too often with us.however no fault of the club Every signing is a gamble no matter who it is, you could splash millions on one player only to see him get injured in his first 5 minutes and be out for the season. My advice stop berating the club and khaled in particular...give the new boys time to settle in before criticising...and writing them off...I've known players who have fell out with managers over the stupidest trivial things and then left to rot for weeks if not months in the reserves or left on the bench knowing they won't get game time just to prove a point. New start new beginnings for them all So let's stop with the negativity...that's my advice
Well said, bud. Look at Di Maria for Man Utd, brilliant player, Utd spent 60+ million on him, completely flopped and left after 1 season. Lukaku, rejoined Chelsea for club record fee, 100 million quid, left on loan after failing. Multiple players at Chelsea have left after not performing there & then doing well, Salah, Cuadrado, De Bruyne, Lukaku (first time), Shevchenko, list is endless. Barcelona sign Griezmann, massive amounts of money, failed, gone back to Madrid initially on loan, hardly plays so Madrid can buy him back cheaper. Nothing ever guarantees success of a signing. Splashing a tonne of money definitely doesnt
