She wouldn't approve either but the title of the thread is sam smith and that's who I gave my opinion on. Now I'm getting called a Snowflake for giving a opinion on his music video. Somethings I see and hear at oakwell and away games I don't think are for children or old people but I must be a Snowflake for thinking that too.

 

Agree with all that except that he used the wrong word. It's perfectly acceptable to refer to Sam Smith as he. Because Sam Smith is a man.
Now Sam wants to be called "They"
Thats also fine and I would try to respect it (though I may slip up)
But it is not wrong to say him. That's just a biological fact. I don't think we should start compelling the speech of others when stating actual facts.
I finish by stressing again I personally would make every effort to respect respect someone's wishes.

I had a lad in his 30s in my clinic telling me this week he's gay and he's terrified of others finding out and judging him. He's never had a relationship and feels ashamed of his sexuality. He feels this way because morons such as those on this thread get all upset about stuff that literally has SWEET FA to do with them. Imagine how **** his life has been and how much time wasted because of this?

I'm glad you posted this.

I was of the impression (based on how this thread was going) that Madely had been called out by Sam for using "Him" when it was his co-host.

And it's likely that Sam may not have seen or even been been offended, but accepted the accidental use which was apologised and corrected.

And we have a thread like this.

It's good that we can all come together at moments like this show how offended we are. Hold hands and have a candle lit vigil. Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are alligned. It could be quite sensual.

I don't find it offensive that Richard Madeley accidentally used the wrong pronouns. But apparently a lot of snowflakes are weirdly offended by a music video.

 

And yet the reality of gender ideology is that if he was 15 now and confided in his teacher that he didn’t like football but he fancied boys; there’s a fair chance they’d decide he was ‘born in the wrong body’ and that rather than being a perfectly normal gay male he was actually ‘a girl’. And if his parents tried to fight the system, they’d be castigated for trying to ‘convert’ him.
This is what’s happening. There’s a few people on this thread with very outdated views re sexuality. But there’s also many who can’t see the reality of what the gender ideology movement is all about.

A teacher would never decide somebody was born in the wrong body. There is LGBTQ+ education in all schools. Students make their own judgements. But like many 15 year olds, the judgements may not be fully correct due to other influencing factors. That said, the student will be supported to talk and discuss their feelings without prejudice.
