I'm honestly not sure. Let's hope not, last thing we need is to be picking up all his wages again. Might also jeopardise chances of them buying him in the summer.
Would be surprised if they bid for him now. Stop start season so far, now out for the rest of the season. Football’s a weird game. It’s a world where Ashley Fletcher gets a 4 year PL contract. However I’m not sure over the last 2 seasons, he’s proved he belongs in the Championship.
I have to say he is one of those players that started out looking like our best prospect. Not sure where he is now TBH. Still a player in there & we have him on a long contract. I suspect the wage levels are quite high though. We won't want to be paying those kind of wages for long I expect. I wish the lad well.
I'd have him back but not in midfield, that's looking good now. His best games for us were at wing back and we could do with cover there.
Dunno where it leaves him. Last season he was rubbish and some stuck up for him. This season he was poor at that same level again with a different team. Is it the fault of multiple clubs he's not doing it or him? I wouldn't want him back playing for us. Duff is building something good.
If Michael Duff wants him back at the club (and Callum also wants to return), then I have no objection.
I suspect the new deal was higher wages. I'm not sure we can handle that in the long term, unless we go up of course.
quad muscle injury according to Millwall website. either way he is probably our player nezt seaon whatever division that may be.
Never rated him in the middle of the park the game seems to pass him by and we’ve a lot better players in the middle. I wouldn’t have him starting over cadden either who’s started to look like a really good player now he’s fully fit. His wages would be a problem in league one especially if on the bench.
I do agree. However (maybe through blind optimism), I'd fully expect Duff to get the very best out of him. Whether it through the middle, out wide, or slotting into Caddens position (I wouldn't personally change him for Styles either atm, his crossing is a big asset). Some managers are poor man-managers, but great tacticians, and vice versa. I think Duff has great elements on both fronts and we're exceedingly lucky to have him at our club. I think as it stands he's better at man-management than most, if not all, in this league. And I reckon with the right guidance, arm round the shoulder or general kick up the @rse Styles would be back to playing his very best Edit - I agree his wages may also be a problem in this league for us, especially if he's not a first teamer. Fingers crossed when/if he does return, it'll be with us in the league above.
Duff's a good actor. He's been loyal all his footballing life because he hasn't had the options. We gave him first choice he ever had because nobody wanted him as a player, then manager. Regarding Styles if he came back he might be able to give the gaffer some tips on the greeness of the grass. Modern day Hammill.
Have him back in a heartbeat, C,O,Y,R, anyhow i'll be watching the Oldest Club in the World t'morra Sheffield F,C, against Bridlington, won this fixture last season had 4 grandbairns wi us then, be Me an Missus and the old faithful Patch, love grass roots football always get a decent game an dog friendly an all, Safe journey all you travelling to Fratton, an behave yasens, x
