Great tune. Had it on 12" though it got smashed during a surreal night involving mushrooms Suffice to say I never made the same mistake again.
If there’s anyone on here who doesn’t know about Ian Watkins, don’t google him. The stuff he was doing is just impossible to get your head around.
I don’t know Lawrence, never met him. I was big pals with Terry Miles, keyboards in Denim, Go Kart Mozart, Bernard Butler etc. He plays on my solo stuff & we did a Kusworth album together..
You should put it up. Would be good to have a listen. If your music is as good as your drawing/painting then I'm sure I'd enjoy listening
The annoying thing is that I came to Felt and Denim late. I wished that I’d been into them at the time, so I could have seen them live. And then I found out I had seen Denim live, but just one song. They were supporting Pulp, but Edwyn Collins was chief support. Pretty sure I had been at a match beforehand, but either way, I only met my mate outside Wembley Arena, so we went in saw there was an additional band on, watched their first number and then decided that going outside to the bar for a chat was a better option. What a ******* idiot I am sometimes. And this wasn’t that long after I had gone to see Oasis in Brighton in 94. Me and the girlfriend at the time were at the point of separating, so we sat outside in the bar and didn’t bother with the support band, so we could ‘talk’, I.e. so I could have half an hour listening to a list of my failures. I’d never bothered checking who the support band was, but we went to our seats halfway through their last number…There She Goes. D’oh!
Vigilantes have been outside his hostel. The press won't mention it but a quick Twitter search of 'Gary Glitter hostel' mentions it loads. The locals not happy him being based near a school.
You'll be relieved to see that 'Glitter' isn't on Celtic's bench for today's match. As was announced in the last couple of weeks: "The time has come for those that run Glasgow Celtic Football Club to recognise that the idea the senior club and the boys club were not intimately connected is utterly preposterous. They must end this charade that brings more distress to the victims of the boys club and accept their responsibility in civil law". At least 'Glitter' was prosecuted & did time in jail.
