Possibly the best atmosphere I've ever known at Oakwell. Electric. Noisy from start to finish.

Last season I tried something like that using some new metal sheeting on the side of the Ponty (I sat next to it), banging it with my hand. It made a great noise - I was told to stop by a few people sat near me. So good luck mate.

Absolutely NOT! Can’t stand listening to them at televised games and certainly don’t want one at Oakwell

Can’t knock the club for acknowledging it, some of the changes not earth shattering but whilst it’s taken them chuffin long enough to contemplate changes to the match day experience we were sold on, it’s still Barnsley to concede early heads down and flattens any atmosphere.
Hope I’m wrong Get behind em

I reckon a drum would be good, but I get I'm in the minority.

But...I've said this time and time again, songs generally start on the East Stand side of the Ponte end. If the people starting the songs just sang the same song through more than 1.5 times, it'd give it the opportunity to catch on and reverberate around the ground.

By the time people on the West Stand side of the Ponte have joined in, the East side have stopped singing.

    It's not rocket science.

Oh and if you shout 'sing yer ********' you should get a lifetime ban :D

How can we generate any sort of atmosphere when nobody knows what we can sing without getting a telling off!??

We’ve some big games coming up through March & April, plus the weather will improve, so I expect the atmosphere to improve, especially with all the new stuff going on around the ground. Get more beer in folk & that should help.

Me personally, I think we’ll start losing more than we win particularly against the likes of Derby, Ipswich & Wednesday, so our season will fizzle out anyway.

I'll also add I don't think there's any belief yet. We might be winning but few have the belief that we wont mess it up. If we go behind, we all know that it's likely to be curtains. Once that changes, the atmosphere will come back; and it might only take one match to change things.

We really did have the 5hit knocked out of us with those two clowns last season. Even Duff alluded to it, saying some of the players didn't want to be here this season.
