Thanks to everyone who recommended Y Pas, I went to day and it was epic. I don’t normally get up to that part of town, living in Sale I come in Silkstone way a get scran at Shaws Chippy, who I always thought were the best. Y Pas are next level - the fish was pure white, firm but moist and so tasty. The chips, oh the chips. Properly cooked, the insides had turned to a creamy mash, and tasted of proper potato. They sucked up the vinegar and salt and were just beautiful. Then we have the batter. Chefs in London and Tokyo would only dream of a batter as crisp and light as that. Stunning. I shall have to make time to visit again and have some mushy peas and scraps on top.
Yep. Brent and Anne do a great job in there bud, live just round the corner so got frequent Fryer stamps
