A number of recent posts about chanting/music/half-time entertainment and catering

What were the chants or songs sung in the olden days 1960's 1970's ?
    - was there half-time entertainment.

Was any food sold or was it just tea or Bovril.

We sang God save the Queen and were grateful to be allowed out.

Oh and half time entertainment was watching a bloke put plates with numbers on below letters of the alphabet and matching them to the programme to work out the half time scores.
    I kid you not. :)

Most chants from the 70s would now see us getting a few fines….

I rember my dad sitting me on the crush barriers and not being able to get down again. Very effective child control devices.

(Our keeper) is better than Yashin
(Our goal scorer) is better than Eusebio (pronounced You Say Bee Oh)
And (team we are playing) are in for a thrashing

Regular song from the sixties including the Russian keeper and the Portuguese maestro

Smell of Woodbines everywhere, especially the Brewery stand.
I think I did more passive smoking at Oakwell than anywhere else in my life.

I can't remember stewards but there was always a Bobby or two strolling round the pitch.

It were worse on 't Yorkshire Tracky buses. We used to get the no 23 from The Collingwood in Bolton to Barnsley bus station, you needed an oxygen tent by the time you got off.

I once went to Donny with a few mates and one of them had bike crank under his coat just in case.
